A combination of cold weather, family-wide flu & major sinus headaches has made me want to hibernate in bed and NEVER get out...which sadly isn't very practical. I've been layering like crazy to keep the chills away - am doubling up with cotton leggings underneath my jeans!

I'm one week into NO-Buy February...and I've been good - but it hasn't been easy... Sales...Coupon codes...Exciting new products - lots of temptation around! I thought I'd list a couple of the things I've WANTED to buy (but haven't!):

1) Coach Legacy Leather Penny Shoulder Purse in Mint - I've been loving everything about Coach's Legacy line - the discreet logo, pretty tassels & gorgeous saturated leather colors. This purse is tempting at $198 - it's pricey but classic. The strap can be worn cross-body or doubled up for use as a shoulder bag. I've resisted so far BUT Coach has sent me a PCE (Preferred Customer Event) discount code...and it's only valid for the month of February!

2) Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel - I purchased Bare Bones in January - and I love this new Revlon formula SO much - it really is like having gel nails: opaque, glossy & super-longwearing color! Now I want to try Pink Passion & Midnight...but I think I can hold out until March...

3) MAC Pro-Longwear Concealer - As I explained in my acne-covering foundation post - I use this concealer as a full-coverage foundation. I still have around a quarter of this product left BUT it's not really matching my skintone at the moment. I need a lighter shade with yellow undertones - either to use alone or blend with my existing concealer to match my skin color. This doesn't really count as a new purchase, does it?

Aside from making virtual shopping lists and hiding in bed with the flu, I've been productive this month...organizing paperwork, sorting through my closet - it feels good to get some pre-Spring cleaning done!

How has your February been so far?

    1. I know Mehreen! Imagine sending me the PCE coupon on a no-buy month...it's so cruel! I think for now I'll continue to resist (but I'll probably cry when it's sold out and everyone has a cute mint bag except for me LOL!!!)

    1. Thanks Parveen - I'm still so groggy from the flu meds but my lovely parents have taken the kiddies for the night so that I can get lots of rest and be back to normal soon :-)

  3. Hope you feel better soon! I am also sick and it seems like everyone around me is sick with the flu! I admire your discipline for sticking to a no-buy policy this month. I have been tempted with so many coupons and sales the past couple weeks, but the thing that is motivating me to hang on to my wallet is seeing the new spring collections...I would rather buy a few new things for spring than spend money on any more winter stuff.

    1. I know what you mean Louise - the GTA has been hit hard with the flu & lots of headaches from the air pressure changes/temperature fluctuations! Here's to us getting better quickly :-) Can't wait to see what you choose when Spring comes - enough of Winter already, huh?

  10. I LOVE your blog! I just got a balenciaga from Holts in Yorkdale and I am wondering how to maintain it. They told me to use lubriderm but on purse forum people were so against it. So I'm confused. Anyway you're such a beautiful mommy with amazing style. Xo

    1. You're so sweet! Congrats on your new Bal! For mine I purchased the Lovin My Bag care kit from the US - I will try find my earlier post on it and link here. I bought the products specifically created for Bal leather and am very happy with it. I ordered mine from the US but I think recently they've started shipping from Canada, which is even cheaper than ordering from the US.
