Forever 21 Haul: Statement Necklaces & Quilted Bag

I love buying statement necklaces from Forever 21 - they're trendy, unique and well-made. None of mine have broken so far (knock wood) and they've all cost less than $20 CAD each!


Up until now, I'd been ordering necklaces online - this was risky because they're final sale - and the website photos are not always accurate. I once ordered what I thought was a delicate leaf necklace - only to end up with a HUGE medallion type chain (think Mr T)! So I was VERY excited when Forever 21 opened up at a nearby mall (Sherway Gardens). Although there are less options in store than online, you can actually see what you're buying!

Here's what I got:

The rhinestone necklace reminds me of the crystal ones from J.Crew. I adore the silver and mint bib necklace - it will look gorgeous both with winter greys and summer whites.

This post on PhiPhi's blog highlighted the versatility of this black & white pearl strand as a layering piece. And the messy pearl cluster was just SO HUGE and dramatic - as a pearl-lover I HAD to have it.

I also picked up this taupe crossbody bag while at the store (can you tell that I'm a little obsessed with taupe accessories?).  I needed a cross-body bag for the weekend with enough room for my continental wallet. In the website photo it looks a little cheap & shiny - but it is really nice in person. Here's a picture to show how roomy it is:


I'm SO happy to have a Forever 21 store near me now! Here's what I'll be looking out for on my next visit:

  3. ahh love that peal big necklace. i actually went to F21 at sherway last week looking for it after i saw Michele21 video about it but couldnt find it:( Will check again. Generally im a bit boaring with my jewlery....but i think it's time i spice things up! lol

    1. They did have the pearl necklace online on the Canadian site but I can't find it anymore - I think it's out of stock :-( I looked up the Michele218 video - didn't even know that necklace was so popular!

  4. I'm obsessed with F21 statement jewelry. You just can't go wrong with the prices and the quality is pretty good too. We just had one open up near us too so I've been paying visits quite frequently. I may have to look for that mint one.

  8. I love then necklaces you picked up! And nothing wrong with taupe accessories. Taupe is the best neutral!

    The F21 in Ottawa blows! There's no elevator there so I have to go around the mall to get to the second floor coz I can't take stroller on the escalator!!! Ughhhh sorry random rant!

    1. I feel your frustration! I ended up doing most of my shopping online when my twins were babies - they HATED sitting in their strollers...and I could not carry them and shop at the same time LOL!

  9. I love shopping for jewellery at Forever 21 - it's always trendy and such a good deal. I take my daughter every few months and we make a day of it. She loves looking at all the pretty options!

  12. I got the pearl bib necklace last fall and love it! I did cut off the little wire hanging things but it was an easy fix for such a cute necklace!

    1. Ha ha - good question! I usually wear them in cold & wet weather...I've just ordered some fleece inserts for them so they'll work as snow boots too. They're quite comfortable & keep my feet really warm (PLUS they're easy to slip on and off). But to answer your question - no, I don't ONLY wear them when it rains ;-)
