Shopping My Closet: a Week of Vacation Outfits

We've booked a spur-of-the-moment holiday - last Saturday we purchased our tickets and we'll be off tomorrow! I've been super-busy, which is why I haven't had time to write a blog post until now. I've decided not to purchase any new outfits for this holiday because:
1) I'd rather shop at my destination
2) There are *some* items in my closet with the tags still on! I should wear them before purchasing anything new.

Here are some of the outfits I've put together (I heard this great tip that you should photograph your outfits before you go on holiday so you remember what goes together - and only pack what is necessary). I'm taking several necklaces and shoes, but keeping it simple with my earrings and wristwear. (Items with  ** still had their tags on)
Old Navy top, H&M necklace, Old Navy skirt**, Payless sandal
H&M shirt, Forever21 necklace, Old Navy skirt**, Payless sandals
Forever21 top, Garage shorts, Old Navy flip flops
Old Navy top, H&M necklace, Garage Shorts, Payless Shoes

Amrita Singh Nello Necklace, Forever21 top, Old Navy jeans, Payless sandals)
Express top**, H&M necklace, Old Navy jeans, Old Navy leopard flats**
Old Navy top**, H&M necklace, Old Navy jeans, Old Navy flats**
Old Navy Dress & Sweater, Payless sandals
H&M top, H&M necklace, Garage leggings, Payless sandals
My most shamefully neglected item was the black skirt - I purchased it from Old Navy in 2008 when we were living in New York! I'm not sure about the brown leggings and sandals in my last outfit - I may switch it out with black leggings and sandals (one less pair of shoes to pack!).

I better finish up my packing now...so much to do before tomorrow! I'm taking my laptop with me, so hopefully I'll be able to blog again next week.

  1. How gorgeous are you sweetie? Very! I love the idea of shopping your closet, as well as photographing everything before going on vacation. I think that's the only way to ensure a worry free holiday! I especially love that old navy maxi dress. Stunning!

    1. Old Navy is definitely my weakness - especially ordering online when they have promos. Their clothes are cute & cheap, a deadly combo for me LOL!

  4. What a great idea to take a picture of all your outfits before your trip! It always takes me so long to pack because I have to try to figure out what looks good together - and multiply that by the number of days I'm away for! Your outfits are all super cute. Have a great trip!!

    1. Thanks Kerri! I'm so glad I was able to find both the red and turquoise H&M necklaces. My turquoise necklace was the last in store - and had a bead missing - but I bought it anyway. I heard that H&M restocked the turquoise ones a couple of months later but I never found them :-( Hope you find one someday soon :-)
